Enjoy delicious espresso and espresso drinks without the time and mess. The Saeco Nina Bar lets you choose between packaged Pods and your own favorite preground coffee to brew your favorite espresso-based beverages. The backlit control panel makes brewing extremely simple and easy to read, and alerts you know when it's ready for brewing and steaming. Nina's cappuccinatore automatic frothing attachment provides ample steaming power for cappuccinos and lattes.
Pressurized Portafilter
There are two types of portafilters: pressurized style and commercial style. The Nina uses the pressurized style, which is easier to use than the commercial as it is more forgiving. The portafilter is made up of three parts, the handle, the filter holder, and the filter basket. Under the filter basket is a small spring-loaded valve that will not open until the pressure in the portafilter has built up. A few seconds after the machine is told to brew, the pressure in the portafilter will build up enough to push open the valve and release the coffee.
ESE Pod Adaptor Capability
The Nina Bar also comes with a pod adapter, making this machine extremely versatile. Its special filter basket fits into the portafilter, enabling it to brew single serve, prepackaged shots (pods).
Boiler
The Nina Bar contains a food safe stainless steel boiler and heating element. The durable steel resists corrosion and ensures a longer life span of the machine. It is recommended decalcify every two to three months to lengthen the life span of this and other internal components.
High Quality Controls with Temperature Ready Light
This machine couldn’t get any easier. To turn the machine on, you press the on/off button on the right hand side of the machine. The easy-to-use touch interface control panel shows you by lighting up when the machine is “ready to brew” and “ready to steam”. You will tell the machine what you want it to do by pressing the corresponding icons. A coffee mug for one shot, a double coffee mug for two, a steam cloud for steaming and frothing milk and a water droplet for hot water.
Cup Warmer
Preheating your cups is a very important- it helps retain the heat and flavor of your espresso. The Nina Bar has a stainless steel cup warmer that will hold up to five espresso cups. It is passively heated, which means it is heated from the residual heat of the boiler.
